Bore alignment with the highest precision

The Easy-Laser® E950 Bore alignment system makes the control and adjustment work of bearings and bearing journals easier, thanks to the wireless detector unit and measurement programs that guide you through the measurement process. All of the parts included in the systems are designed and built for even the most demanding workplace and for easy setup on any machinery.

Easy-Laser® E950 makes checking and aligning bearings and bearing journals easier thanks to wireless detectors and versatile brackets. A large colour display with clear graphics and software that guides the user through the entire measurement process contributes to simple operation.

The system automatically calculates the bearing journals in relation to each other, both horizontally and vertically. You can then evaluate the results directly on-site with different calculation methods such as Best fit around zero and Waviness. It is also possible to analyse the different choices of reference points and set the offset and tolerance values. Another feature is the check of ovality, for example, to analyse the wear rate. The measurement system takes care of all these complicated calculations for you. You measure and align both full and half bearing journals with equal simplicity. The wireless detector eliminates uncertain factors such as cable pull. All parts are designed for maximum accuracy and stability, and measure with a resolution of 0.001 mm [0.05 mils]. Measurement distance up to 40 m [130 feet]. Easy-Laser® E950 is suitable for use both in production and out in the field.

Four versions of the measurement system

E950-A or E950-C 
Primarily for diesel engines (for example crank and camshaft bearings), gearboxes, compressors and similar applications. Positioning workpieces in machine tools is also an appropriate application.

E950-B or E950-D
Primarily for propeller shaft installations on ships with stern tubes, support bearings, gearboxes and engines.

Straightness of shafts and coupling alignment

With the systems, you can also measure the straightness of shafts, foundations, etc. without any additional accessories. With the measuring devices for shaft alignment (accessories), you have the most complete measurement system to align the entire drive train on the market. Programs for all types of measurements are included as standard, you then adapt the measurement system with brackets and detectors for your needs now and in the future.

Centre-of-circle, Straightness 2-point

Used for straightness measurement of bearing journals when the bore diameter varies. For example, diesel engines, propeller shaft installations, etc. With advanced "best-fit" calculations.

Half circle, Straightness 3-point

Readings taken in three positions: 9, 6 and 3. Allows varying diameters. To be used together with the turbine system. With advanced "best-fit" calculations.

Straightness, 4-point

Used for straightness measurement of bearing journals. Measures two points in each direction, X and Y. Can handle up to 999 measurement points with two zero points. With advanced "best-fit" calculations.

Straightness, Multipoint

Used for straightness measurement of bearing journals. The number of measurement positions are theoretically unlimited for each measurement point. Can handle up to 999 measurement points with two zero points. With advanced "best-fit" calculations.

Ovality/roundness

For ovality measurements of bore and bearing journals. The number of measurement positions are theoretically unlimited for each bore.

Straightness measurement

With our program for measuring straightness, you can easily measure long shafts, rolls, bearings, bases, machine structures etc. All you have to do is define a number of measuring points, in advance or while measuring. You will be able to get the result for both the horizontal and vertical alignment, graphically as well as digitally.

Display unit E51

The display unit for the E series enables you to work more efficiently and for longer than ever before thanks to several innovative solutions. It is also ergonomically designed with easy-to-grip rubber cladding and robust construction.

Ergonomic design

The display unit has a thin, easy-to-grip and rubber coated profile that ensures a secure grip. It has large well-spaced buttons that give clear feedback when pushed. In addition, the two Enter buttons make the system suitable for both right and left-handed users. The display screen has clear graphics that guide you through the measurement process.

Personal settings

You can create a user profile where you can save your personal settings. You can also have different settings for different types of measurements. It makes work faster!

Language selection

You can choose the language that you want to appear on screen. English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Polish, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese are available. 

Upgrading

If you wish to expand functionality in the future, the software in the display unit can be upgraded via the internet or by connecting a USB memory containing the new software. In this way you will also have access to the measurement programmes that we develop for new purposes in the future.

D75 Laser transmitter with arms

The laser transmitters’ rigid design assures highest measurement accuracy. The bracket has three sets of adjustable arms with magnets to fit different diameters. The arms can be mounted with 120° incremental or all three downwards, depending on if it will be mounted in a full bore or half bore. The transmitter can be mounted to point the laser beam either away from, or through, the offset hub.

Fine adjustment of the laser beam in horizontal and vertical direction is made very easy with the offset hub. Included with system E950-A and E950-C.

Detector E9 with slide bracket width 25 mm

Slide bracket with a width of 25 mm [0.99"]. Allows for measurement of bores down to diameter 80 mm [3.15"] when used with detector E8/E9. Included with system E950-C.

Set of three slide brackets with extendable rods for different bore diameters. These 3 brackets are included with system E950-A and E950-C, but system E950-C comes with the E9 detector instead.

Detector E7 with self centering bracket
