Belt alignment tools

We have a complete range of professional tools for belt transmission alignment. Choose between “visual” display on targets or digital display. Regardless which one you choose, the result is reduced pulley, belt, bearing and seal wear. Vibration levels are also reduced. Increased efficiency also means lower energy costs. For these reasons, a belt alignment system normally pays for itself within a few months, regardless of which model you choose.

D92 - Belt alignment

Easy-Laser® D92 is installed in a few seconds, and the laser line that is projected on the targets clearly shows how to adjust the machines.

XT190 - Belt alignment

Easy-Laser® XT190 BTA allows accurate and efficient alignment of sheaves/pulleys, and is unique to the market in being able to offer digital read off.

Belt alignment tools

Precise belt alignment is essential for reliable machine performance. Easy-Laser’s laser belt alignment tools make it fast, accurate, and easy to perform alignment of any belt-driven machine.

Misalignment of belts

Even slight belt misalignment can have a major impact on performance. When pulleys are not properly aligned, belts run unevenly, generating excess heat and friction that accelerate wear on both belts and bearings. This shortens component life, increases energy consumption, and raises the risk of unplanned downtime. By using Easy-Laser’s belt alignment tools, you can quickly detect and correct these issues with high precision, ensuring smoother operation, lower maintenance costs, and longer-lasting equipment.

Why use a laser belt alignment tool?

Traditional alignment methods like straightedges or strings can be time-consuming and imprecise. A laser belt alignment tool projects a visible laser line parallel to the sheave, allowing you to instantly identify and correct misalignment. The result is improved efficiency, reduced wear, and longer service life for belts, sheaves, and bearings. An added benefit is that the alignment job can be performed by a single person. Regular checks with laser-based tools ensure long-term reliability and optimal machine efficiency.

Easy-Laser belt alignment tools

We offer laser belt alignment tools designed to meet different needs.

XT190 – digital precision and wireless connectivity

The Easy-Laser XT190 Belt Transmission Alignment (BTA) tool combines digital precision with app connectivity for analysis and documentation.

Key features:

  • Digital detector unit with built-in display or wireless connection to the XT Alignment app.
  • Live adjustment guidance on your mobile device or XT display unit.
  • Automatically calculates shim and adjustment values.
  • Document alignment results directly in the app.
  • The wireless display unit lets you monitor alignment in real time right from the adjustment point – no need to walk back and forth to check the targets.

Ideal for: technicians who want fast, precise alignment and digital reporting capabilities.

D92 – reliable simplicity

The Easy-Laser D92 belt alignment tool offers the same measurement accuracy as the XT190 but with a simpler design. It projects a laser line on magnetic targets for instant visual indication of misalignment.

Key features:

  • Clearly visible laser line for easy interpretation.
  • Two power modes
  • No need for a separate display unit or app.

Ideal for: users who prefer a robust, stand-alone tool for quick visual alignment checks.

Both models deliver the precision and durability that define Easy-Laser tools, helping you achieve perfect alignment across all types of belt driven machines.

How a laser belt alignment tool works

  • Attach the laser transmitter and detector (or targets) magnetically to the sheaves.
  • Switch on the laser to project a line parallel to the reference sheave.
  • Adjust the machine position until the laser line aligns perfectly with the target indicators.

The entire process is quick, precise, and repeatable – ideal for both installation and maintenance.

Side mounting for greater accuracy

The Easy-Laser belt alignment tools use the sheave’s side surface as reference during alignment. This provides higher accuracy, since the contact surface for the tool is larger than if mounted against the radial surface. The area in and around the belt groove is also more prone to damage.
