A sustainability milestone achieved

Easy-Laser has a long-term climate goal – to reach Net Zero* 90% by 2045. This means that we will reduce our actual emissions as far as possible and ensure that our operations have very low climate impact over time.

As an important interim target, we set the goal of becoming climate neutral in Scope 1 and 2 by 2027. We have now achieved this already, two years ahead of schedule. Through systematic climate efforts, very low emissions for 2025 (0.57 and 2.55 tCO₂e**, respectively), and climate compensation via Gold Standard-certified projects***, we have now reached climate neutrality in Scope 1 and 2.

Scope 1 includes our direct emissions, for example from company vehicles.
Scope 2 concerns indirect emissions from purchased energy such as electricity and district heating.

We still have a way to go before reaching the final goal, but we have a solid foundation to build on. The next step is to ensure continued low emissions even as the business grows, and to intensify the work with Scope 3, meaning the emissions that occur in our value chain.

*Net Zero means that we significantly reduce our actual emissions and only compensate for the small remaining part. The goal Net Zero 90% means that at least 90% of emissions must be actual reductions, while a maximum of 10% can be balanced through climate compensation. The focus is therefore on reducing emissions at the source, not compensating them away.

**tCO₂e stands for tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalents. It is a method for aggregating the climate impact of different greenhouse gases – such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide – into a common unit. This allows us to compare and track total climate impact in a clear and consistent way.

*** The climate compensation is carried out through two Gold Standard-certified projects focused on improving access to clean drinking water in Mozambique and Uganda.
