Easy-Laser® E980 - Sawmill
The Easy-Laser® E980 Sawmill system will help you increase efficiency and save money in your sawmill. The system measures straightness, flatness and squareness. Simple to use, even for your own maintenance and production staff. Equally useful on band saws and circular saws.
Easy-Laser E980 is a laser based measurement and alignment system that helps sawmills to make optimal use of their facilities. Correctly set up machines make it possible to maintain a high rate of production with the highest quality end products hour after hour.
Easy-Laser E980 makes it fast and easy to measure and adjust reducers, counterholds, band and circular saw blades. The laser transmitter in E980 can be used as a point or a rotating point, which gives a ”plane” to measure against. It replaces the traditional cord/wire, that was tensioned in the centre, and enables you to move around freely in the machine, screwing and adjusting, while following the result of the adjustment in real time.
With E980 you can measure straightness, flatness and squareness in relation to the vertical and horizontal planes if you wish. The system is easy for production and maintenance personnel to use and works for both band and circular saws. In addition, it is excellent for measuring flatness and ensuring that the base remains stable and level.
There is a rapid return on the investment through fewer production stoppages and more even quality in the sawn timber.
Benefits of using Easy-Laser E980:
The featured programs below are the most common used with this system. Please click here for a complete overview of possibilities.
With our program for measuring straightness, you can easily measure long shafts, rolls, bearings, bases, machine structures etc. All you have to do is define a number of measuring points, in advance or while measuring. You will be able to get the result for both the horizontal and vertical alignment, graphically as well as digitally. To get even more out of your system, add the D22 swiveling laser.
Program to measure flatness/twist of (for example) machine bases, machine tables, etc. With advanced "best-fit" calculations.
For measurement of squareness in machines and installations.
For parallelism measurement of rolls, rails, overhead tracks, gantries, metal sheet cutters, production lines, etc.
The display unit for the E series enables you to work more efficiently and for longer than ever before thanks to several innovative solutions. It is also ergonomically designed with easy-to-grip rubber cladding and robust construction.
The display unit has a thin, easy-to-grip and rubber coated profile that ensures a secure grip. It has large well-spaced buttons that give clear feedback when pushed. In addition, the two Enter buttons make the system suitable for both right and left-handed users. The display screen has clear graphics that guide you through the measurement process.
You can create a user profile where you can save your personal settings. You can also have different settings for different types of measurements. It makes work faster!
You can choose the language that you want to appear on screen. English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Polish, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese are available.
If you wish to expand functionality in the future, the software in the display unit can be upgraded via the internet or by connecting a USB memory containing the new software. In this way you will also have access to the measurement programmes that we develop for new purposes in the future.
Note: Dust and splash guards for connectors that are not used when measuring
Very versatile detector for geometrical applications. Compact and ridgid design. For use with either cable or wireless connection. Two connectors for making it possible to connect two detectors or more in series also with cables. 2 axis PSD, 20x20 mm [0.79”x0.79”]. Built-in 360° electronic inclinometer. Normally mounted on rods, but has many additional mounting possibilities thanks to threads on two sides. With Dual Detection Technology, making it possible to read both fixed point laser and spinning laser with one and the same detector.
Laser transmitter D23 has a motor driven, rotating head that gives a 360° laser plane. Measurement distance up to 20 metres [65´] in radius. Because the laser beam sweeps across the surface you do not need to align the beam for every detector position. Convenient!
